We’re hiring! Train to teach Maths Dance.

Maths Dance is an award-winning, original educational provider dedicated to the creative, imaginative, and self-expressive teaching of maths through movement. We deliver a mix of creative maths programmes with a focus on empowering child, teacher and parent to look at maths differently. To move, laugh, and learn through fun.

We are looking out for a passionate educator based in/ available to travel to South East London to deliver our unique creative learning after school programme in a local school in Lewisham, on Fridays 2.30-3.30pm.

Person specification:

Essential:

• At least 2 years of experience in teaching children (ages 4 – 15).
• A good understanding of the UK educational system and experience working with schools in the UK.
• Excellent subject knowledge in Maths/ Dance/ Primary Education.
• Passionate about creative and embodied learning.
• Highly motivated, intellectually curious and keen to learn.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willing to travel to a primary school in Lewisham.
• Available at least one afternoon per week (Friday, 2.30-3.30pm).
• Must be able to commit to the entire academic year.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety.
• Enhanced DBS certificate.

Desirable:

• First Aid certificate.
• Experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment.

What we offer:

Salary: £20 – £25 per hour depending on experience.
Please note the fee does not include any planning time. All the lesson plans and resources will be provided.
